A little preparation beforehand helps us make the most of our time together and ensures we can focus on what matters
most for your project.
Discuss your budget beforehand
Before our meeting, it’s important that you and your partner have a conversation about your renovation budget. Having a clear range helps guide the design in the right direction from the beginning. There’s nothing more disappointing than creating a design you love, only to discover it sits outside the budget.
If possible, have both decision-makers present
Where possible, it’s great if both partners can be home during the appointment. Design decisions often involve personal preferences, and having everyone involved from the start helps avoid delays or misunderstandings later.
Make a list of the areas you'd like to discuss
Before we meet, it can be helpful to jot down the spaces or issues you’d like to focus on. This ensures we cover everything that matters most to you.
Have any house plans or documents ready
If you have any plans of your home, council drawings, old real estate listings, or documents from previous renovations, having these available can be very helpful when discussing layout options.
Save any inspiration you like
If you have photos, Pinterest boards, or examples of kitchens or interiors you love (or even dislike), feel free to have them ready.
These give us a great starting point for understanding your style and direction.
Be ready to talk about what’s not working
Understanding what frustrates you in your current space is just as important as what you’d like it to look like. This helps us focus on solutions that will genuinely improve how your home functions.
Think about how you use the space day-to-day
How you cook, store things, move through the space, and live in your home all plays a big role in the design. The more we understand this, the better the outcome.
Allow around 60 minutes for the consultation
This gives us enough time to walk through your space properly, discuss your ideas, and identify the key areas to focus on.
No need to have everything figured out — just bring what you have, and we’ll work through it together.
